Mission & Vision

“Uniting servant leaders who embrace and demonstrate the Kingdom of God with power.”

Mission

The focus of IFM is primarily upon those who are called into leadership and/or full time ministry. Our desire is to network with ministries, both nationally and internationally

In a word, we follow the D.R.E.A.M. of IFM founder, John G. Lake:

Discover leadership in the Body of Christ
Reveal their gifts and callings
Empower their growth
Activate their ministries
Mentor their lives

Vision

Since the church, which is the body of Christ, is designed by God to work together in unity, the highest form of accountability is necessary. Each member of The International Fellowship of Ministries  is accountable for their relationships, their actions, their speech, their lifestyles and their commitments. We  believe that we are accountable not only to our Lord and Savior, but also to our church leaders, our peers, our spouses and family, and to those whom we serve!

apostolic ministry (or five-fold ministry - Eph.4:11)

We see God supernaturally knitting together men and women in covenant relationships. This is not something that we can do ourselves. It is a work of the Spirit of God. Covenant-minded men and women often are drawn together and recognize the hand of the Lord in bringing others into their lives. As God unites leaders from various parts of the world and in various nations, they are enabled to work together for the greater purposes of God. The restoration of genuine and authentic five-fold ministry (Eph 4:11) shakes the foundation of the church, which has often been built on the traditions of  men. God is establishing a new and unshakable foundation for His church based on the ministries of the apostles and prophets. This requires the church to become centers or hubs that train, equip and release ministries rather than simply adding numbers or building buildings.

apostolic churches (or apostolic centers and hubs)

The release of  five-fold ministry in the Body of Christ will result in a new kind of church. Apostolic centers (hubs) will be raised up where local and trans-local teams minister. These hubs will become centers for training, equipping, and releasing of ministers and ministries.

We believe that a vision for discipling the nations must be first and foremost in our strategy of world evangelism. Instead of just seeking converts, teams will plant and nurture New Testament churches where disciples are made and local, indigenous leaders are set in  place. Leadership teams will oversee new works until they are healthy enough to walk on their own.
We believe that character and relationships are just as important as gifting and anointing as the criterion by which a ministry is validated. Christ demonstrated a balance of Godly Character with Power.  We believe God has a strong desire to see the Gospel preached in Love and demonstrated in power.  Churches in a given area will flow together under the influence of the Holy Spirit to establish “elders” in the gates of cities. Local apostolic “fathers” will be recognized by their fatherly heart, divine authority and apostolic wisdom. Because of the networking of local and trans-local apostolic teams, unity of the Body of Christ, and the tremendous power in prayer, dramatic transformation will take place in cities and regions. A great harvest will be reaped.

abundant provision

We believe that it is God’s desire for His people to believe Him for supernatural provision today. “If we are to represent God accurately to the world around us—the way He really is—then we must represent Him as a God of abundance” (Derek Prince). As in the days following the day of Pentecost, the saints will again lay great amounts of money at the feet of proven apostles. This money will be distributed at the leading of the Holy Spirit and great blessing will follow. Purity and godly accountability will become common.

A tremendous trust will exist in the church because the church will have learned Covenant. A willingness to lay down our lives for one another will mark true Christianity. Great humility coupled with great boldness will be the rule rather than the exception.

reformation

As God  restores His foundational gifts and ministries there will also be a shift in understanding and doctrine. The early church walked in the apostle’s doctrine. We believe that  the apostolic and prophetic gifts will be set in the  Body of Christ in order for us to understand the revelation of God’s plans and purposes for His church. Paul says that apostles and prophets have a stewardship of the mystery of the gospel (See Ephesians 3:1-5). While there are no new revelations, there is restored understanding of the Scriptures by the Holy Spirit. For example, God restored the understanding of justification by faith through Martin Luther. It was not a new revelation. It was in the Word all along. But the  church had lost sight of it. God used Luther to call the  church back to what was in the Word but had been lost or ignored.

We believe that the Reformation is not over. The respective burdens and impartation given by the apostles and prophets will help establish a Kingdom that cannot be shaken (Heb. 12:28). New levels of anointing will empower the evangelist, pastor and teacher as they  work together with the apostle and prophet. The goal is not five-fold ministry. The goal is equipped saints that fulfill their calling and build up the  body of Christ. We are to come to the unity of the faith and the full knowledge of the Son of God. We are to be joined and knit together with every part doing its share, which causes the church to grow and be edified in love (See Eph.4:11-13).

The church of the last days will be filled with the glory of God and fulfill her glorious destiny. Jesus will present to Himself a glorious Church without spot, wrinkle or blemish. The church will have been made holy by the “washing of water by the Word of God” (Eph. 5:26, 27).

equipped saints

We believe that we will see the training and equipping of the Body of Christ “…until we come to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the son of God…” (Eph 4:12-13). Because all five ministry gifts will impart to the saints, they will grow and develop into maturity bearing fruit. Believers will be equipped to win the lost, heal the sick and cast out demons. Anointed ministries will be established to meet the benevolent and practical needs of people. These ministries will heal the sick and minister in power  to those who come to them.

We believe that we must equip the saints to understand and appropriate their full inheritance through Jesus Christ. Believers must know their new identity and recognize the authority that has been given to them to lead victorious lives.

the return of christ

The culmination of all things will be the return of Christ. He will return for a glorious Church without spot, wrinkle or blemish. A level of unity and anointing will mark the church of the Last Days. God’s fire and glory will be seen in His church as it ministers throughout  the earth. The stage is being set for the full revelation and demonstration of His glory for all to see.

Values

moral excellence

We will strive to be an example to all of Biblical moral excellence, staying far away from even the appearance of evil. Our goal is to be conformed to the image of Christ,  avoiding legalism and at the same time recognizing that grace leads us to holiness, and displaying of the fruit of the Spirit.

integrity

We will conduct ourselves in the highest ethical manner in all relationships. We will be men and women of our word.

established heart

We are committed to love God with all our heart, mind, soul and strength, and love our neighbor as ourselves. Establishing a love relationship with the Lord our God,  empowers us to obey His every command. Jesus said if you love me you will keep my commandments. Because of His abiding love weare able obey His command to “love one another as I have loved you.” We believe it is important that each person continually develop their love relationship with the Lord and walk in love with their neighbor. We seek to develop an “unoffendable” heart.

faith

We  agree that, “the just shall live by faith” for without faith it is impossible to please God. We are committed to giving the Word of God first place and  utmost authority in our lives. We see a deep rich fellowship with the Father as foundational to a life of faith.

kingdom

We see the Kingdom of God as the rule of God in Christ- both present and future. We are here to proclaim and demonstrate His Kingdom. This Kingdom is not in Word only, but also in power.  We believe that the gospel of the Kingdom will be preached in all the earth and then the end will come.

covenant

We have a Covenant-making, Covenant-keeping God. Therefore we are a Covenant-minded people seeking to relate to other covenant-minded people. Marriage and Family Covenant responsibilities are the “proving ground” for ministry service. Strong marriages and strong families make  a strong ministry.

hunger

The pursuit of God Himself is  our driving passion. We embrace Paul’s heart’s cry “that I might know Him.”

anointing and character

Because of our hunger for God, we are on a quest for the strongest possible anointing to do the works of Christ. We understand that anointing without sufficient character has led many to shipwreck. We therefore put a high priority on character development.

dominion

We believe that as Christians we must aggressively confront the kingdom of darkness, and demonstrate the superiority of the Kingdom of God. We will not be passive, but seek to emulate the Godly leaders who have gone before us.

servant leadership

We believe servant leaders invest themselves in others and lead by example. Jesus, the greatest example of “Servant Leadership” said, “He who would be greatest among you, let him be the servant of all.”

spiritual fathers & mothers

Ministries as they mature, nurture and invest themselves in other ministries to help them reach their full potential and destiny. We acknowledge that we teach what we know, but we  reproduce who we are, therefore we want to pass the torch to the next generation, while we continue to grow and mature ourselves.

missions

We believe in the Great Commission, that the gospel of the Kingdom will be preached in all the earth and then the end will come. We are committed to supporting world missions by going to the nations, taking teams to the nations, sending people to the nations and promoting unity as we go.
